Don’t Give Up on Yourself
Negative emotions are making you forget about joy, and are distancing you from the higher self. I'm in awe and excitement each time I discover the deepest layers of the power of thought.
Let’s say, with a touch of drama, that “we are victims of other people’s thoughts of us”, or “of the environment we were brought up in”, or “of the ways in which we were responded to in our childhood”. For years we work to make our way out of ignorance and blindness, but can’t always reach and dismantle all of our layers of thought. We read books, listen to teachers and therapists, memorize sentences by heart, all not to dwell in the negative emotions causing our pain. That pacifies us, and allows us to keep going on, in survival. But the healing isn’t complete.
Let's experiment. Observe a thought that has made its way through and that is disrupting your life right now. That thought is part of who you are. Don’t position it out there as a separate entity, as something to be intimidated of, or something you're a victim of. It’s part of who you are, and for many years you have made an agreement with this and other thoughts you have gathered and let into your life. Now is the time to buckle up and disassemble these agreements. It’s time to stop playing the same movie on your life’s screen. Stand up to these thoughts, recognize them, recognize the patterns they've created, and make a commitment to let go of the thoughts that cause suffering. Tell yourselves “I let go of the need to feel […]” , be honest with yourselves and observe how that suffering serves you. Don’t give up on yourselves, to be unhappy or unaware.
You are committed to the important task here on this planet, to spread love and knowledge - “I am the source of love and knowledge” - and to stay true to this commitment, firstly clear out the source of your pain and suffering. Heal your life.
