Love as an Instrument for Healing
When I said in one of my group workshops "love raises to the surface all that is contrary to it", one of the participants responded "so it’s best to not love at all, and so avoid the pain".
Love does not bring pain, but heals pain. When you fill a glass of black coffee with clear water, the first thing that happens is that the black coffee rises in the glass, and spills out of it. The more water fills the glass, the cleaner the glass eventually will become. And so with love – the more love we allow to flow within, the more we clear out all that is contrary to it. The process of cleansing is bound with facing the black coffee of life, but eventually, we will find our glass filled only with the clear water of love.
Love is healing – and the way to Love is through Forgiveness. Right at this minute, try to forgive, and ask yourself – where am I stuck? That is the place where I need to continue and forgive myself. A commitment to ourselves to try and let go of suffering, will bring us closer to love and forgiveness. Suffering exists. We are responsible for our own lives, and have the ability to change reality at any given moment.
I look within me with love and forgiveness, and this enables me to give to the world with compassion.
